GAGNON, Rose Evangeline
Aged 82, late of Alliston, Ontario, passed away suddenly on Sunday December 4, 2016 at the Stevenson Memorial Hospital due to a heart attack. Born in 1934 in Windsor, Ontario. Daughter of Joseph Edward (Ted) LePage and Marguerite Emilie LePage nee Parent. Sister of Leo Lepage and Edward Lepage. Married to Eugene Gagnon (deceased in 1998) and lived in Chatham, Ontario. Educated at St. Mary's Academy in Windsor, University of Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music. Survived by her brothers Leo and Edward, sisters-in-law Vivienne and Ernestine, children Mark Gagnon and his wife Nina and their children Leah, Elise and Madeleine and grandchildren Lucy and Samantha, Celeste Krause and her husband Gunnar and their children Christian and Letitia, Joel Gagnon and his wife Rhonda and their children Marguerite, Jacob, Jacqueline and Danielle, and Rachelle Spearman and her husband Terry and their child Connor. There will be a visitation on December 9, this Friday night starting at 7:00 p.m. at the
W. John Thomas Funeral Home
in Alliston, Ontario.
The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 10 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Alliston. Light refreshments will be served following the Mass in the church hall afterwards. There will be a graveside ceremony on Monday, December 12 in Tecumseh, Ontario at St. Anne's. She will be greatly missed.

My heart goes out to all of you with this sudden and painful loss. I will remember Evangeline for the sweet, kind, strong, intelligent woman that she was with her 'angle voice'. I owe a great debt to her; she was a mentor to me as a child and a good friend to me as an adult. I hold dear the many childhood memories spent with all of you in your home. Mark, Celeste, Joel and my dear friend, Rachelle, every one of you holds a special place in my heart. I am sending strength, prayers and love to you and your families during this very sad time.
