Darvis E. Cox

YORK Darvis E. Cox, 71, of West Manchester Township, died at 9:23 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2015 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Lois E. Gaster. Born March 15, 1944 in York County, a son of the late Dale E. and Kathryn (Markey) Cox. He retired from Voith Hydro with over 29 years of employment. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and it's Senior Group, and was also a member of the Classic Car Club and Heritage Senior Center. In addition to his wife of 19 years, Mr. Cox is survived by a son, Tony S. Cox of Plymouth Meeting; a daughter, Jennifer L. Cox of Dover; a step son, Sean E. McDonald of Baltimore; two grandchildren, Miranda and Zachary; a brother, Ricky L. Cox of Dover; and a half sister, Christy. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2121 Roosevelt Avenue with his Pastor, The Rev. Leonard "Skip" Nizinski, officiating. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 S. George St., York, is in charge of arrangements.
