The Sides were my neighbors for several years.
I have good memories of fun game nights, and pool parties with them and other families on our block, and in the neighborhood.
Our children went to WY together, and Scott coached my boys when they played volleyball .
I recall at the end of my oldest sons volleyball career, Scott gave him a copy of the aforementioned book, "Whether you think you can, or think you can't- you're right"
A thoughtful gift for a young, impressionable young man looking toward college.
The book was signed, Best of luck, Coach Sides
So many will remember him as a friend, a coach, an advisor, etc.
Let us also remember him as a husband and a father, a son, brother, uncle, and lift his family up in prayer for strength and healing.
My deepest sympathy to the Sides family.
May his memory be eternal!

To the Sides' family: We are so sorry for your loss. Scott was a wonderful caring person. I had the honor and privilege of working with him and the Smith Barney Team in the early 2000's. He was so kind and compassionate. I hadn't seen Scott in about 5 years; however, when I did we picked up right where we left off. He had a special caring bond for everyone! He was so wonderful at what he did! We will remember his smile. He will be truly missed. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies.

Reaching out to Scott's family with love and peace. May God give you comfort and peace. Alphabetically, Scott and I always shared homeroom. Academically, we had many classes together. Scott's smile is contagious and his many kindnesses inmeasurable.

To Scott's family and friends,
Scott Sides was loved by so many in his profession. Everyone knew him and just respected and adored him. He would light up the room no matter what industry event we were attending. I would personally seek him out if I saw him across the room to check in see how he was doing and just to get a moment of his smile and energy. He always talked about his family and his kids and volleyball. He was truly one of the classiest men in the industry I ever came across and as a female in a male dominated industry I so valued him. He always treated me with such respect. My heart is broken for all of you and my prayers are with you during this difficult time. As more and more folks are finding out on Linkedin please know than an entire industry is feeling your loss today as he was one of the best. We will miss him dearly.

I met Scott 7 years ago and since that time hes been a client and friend. Scott was always positive and anytime he spoke of his family he lit up. We exchanged book ideas and he always taught me something new. Im so sorry for the Sides family and RBC team. An immeasurable loss.

I have know Scott for 22 years and he always had the biggest most infectious smile. His kindness was authentic and pure. I was privileged to know him as a business associate and considered him a friend, but those of you that experienced him as a father, husband, son or sibling are truly blessed. I will miss you Scott
