John Joseph Aquino III

- - On Sunday, November 4, 2018, John Joseph Aquino III passed away at the age of 32 years old after suffering a severe asthma attack. John was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend who will be always remembered for being thoughtful, fearless and calm in the face of the most impossible challenges.

John was born December 20th, 1985 in Chicago, IL. At the age of 4, he moved with his family to York, PA, where he would spend his remaining childhood years. The small town would prove to be fertile grounds on which his love for art, video games, and animation would grow.

John spent many summers at his grandparent's farm, often in the company of his brother and his cousin. He played the clarinet, earned a black belt in Tang Soo Do, and was a talented illustrator and costume designer.

After graduating West York Area High school in 2004, John went on to earn an associate's degree at Bradley Academy for the Arts and a bachelor's degree at Full Sail University in Game Design and Animation. He moved to California to pursue a career in software, and eventually helped start a video game company with is brother, A Game Studios.

At the time of his passing, he was working in the Tampa, FL area developing virtual reality experiences and living with friends.

He is survived by his father John Aquino, Jr., mother Stacey Patsoureas, step father Donald Klinefelter, grandparents Steve and Marilyn Patsoureas, brother Steven Aquino, sister-in-law Tigris Aquino, step sister Heather Klinefelter, step brother James Klinefelter, uncle George Patsoureas, aunt Theresa Patsoureas, cousin Jorrie Laughman and his nieces and nephews, Ocean, Zephyr, Finn and Liam.

A Celebration of Life in memory of John will be announced at a later date.
