On Friday, August 17, Michael entered into eternal rest. He was born in Norfolk, VA to Peter and Dorris McGarry. Michael spent most of his childhood in the town of Dumont, NJ. After graduating high school, Michael entered the military where he served in the Navy for 4 years. Upon an honorable discharge, he worked In the nuclear field for 10 years. Later in life, Michael began a career as an electrician, a proud member of IBEW Local 102. Michael is survived by his parents Dorris and Peter McGarry; his children: Krista Musso & her husband Tony, Kyle McGarry, Olivia McGarry, and Keira McGarry; his grandchildren: Vivienne Musso and Rozlynn McGarry; his siblings: Hazel Gianatiempo & her husband Jerry, Donna DeNicola, and Tina Simoff & her husband Howie; his niece and nephews: Keri, Marc, Alex, Nicholas and David; as well as many other loving family members. Memorial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.

I still tell the stories of the antics of Michael and myself in the Navy. I had always wished that I could have spent more time with him afterwards. I pray for him and his family every time I remember our time together.
