Amy Bosela Obituary
Amy was born on September 3, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio, and was the daughter of Gerald (Jerry) and Elizabeth (Betty) (Schaeper) Miller. She earned her degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University and dedicated her career to helping others as an Occupational Therapist at Sherman Hospital, Elgin, IL and later at OSMC Elkhart, IN before retiring in 2020 to The Villages, Florida.
Amy embraced an active and social lifestyle in her retirement. She enjoyed meeting new friends and engaging in a lot of activities including playing cards, bocce ball, shuffleboard and trips to the dog park with Mysti. Amy was an avid reader all her life just like her father. Some of her favorite times were visiting family and friends in Michigan.
On August 8, 1987, Amy married Michael T. Bosela in Naperville, IL. Mike and Amy enjoyed many great years in Naperville, Lake in the Hills and Shavehead Lake in Michigan.
Survivors include her mother, Elizabeth; her brother Alan (Pam) Miller; and her nieces, Nicole (Marc) Fasshauer, Kayla (Iker) Tomas-Miller, and Jordan Miller. Other survivors include her Aunt Janet Schaeper, many cousins, sister-in-law, Barbara (Christopher) Hand, nephews, John David Peet, Jason (Natalie) Peet, and Justin Peet; and her great-niece and nephew, Kailey Peet and Jayden Peet.
Amy was preceded in death by her father, Jerry, and her husband, Mike.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, East Dundee, IL on December 20, 2025 at 11:00 am, with visitation from 10 am until the time of service. In addition, a celebration of life will take place on November 4, 2025 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm at River Bend Recreation Center of Monarch Grove, The Villages, FL.

With heavy hearts, we would like to express our deepest condolences to Amy´s family and loved ones.
Amy was an extraordinary person-someone who always cared deeply for others, dedicating her life to helping, supporting, and healing those around her.
It feels profoundly unfair that such a devastating cancer took her away, despite every effort and the tireless love and fight of her family. Yet her legacy did not leave with her. It lives on in every person she helped, in every life she touched with her generosity, empathy, and light.
We truly believe that from above, Amy continues to watch over all of us, caring for others just as she always did.
May her memory be a lasting source of strength, peace, and comfort.
Rest in peace, Amy. You will never be forgotten.

I grew up with my two older cousins Mikey S and Mikey B, spending many years sled riding on New Year´s Day at Mikey S´s home and playing in the basement of Mikey B´s every Christmas Eve. We all admired Mikey B´s heart of Gold, still apparent while living with his daily struggles. We all loved Amy and how obvious her love for him was as she brought out the best in him throughout what must have been overwhelming trials. She carried his cross. She live her life for him. I am sure Amy´s encounter upon reaching the pearly gate was the warmth of Our Lord´s smile and His embrace, followed by His loving words, "Well done, My faithful servant". Thoughts and prayers for Amy's family and friends. I was friends with Amy and Misti at Rupert dog park. Amy loved life here in The Villages. She was shy, but after a few talks in the dog park we hit it off. I admired Amy for her strength and Determination to fight cancer. She was a real trooper. She would say I'm just taking this one day at a time. I will miss Amy! I pray her sweet Misti and her cats have found good homes.

Aunt Amy was always so supportive to me and my sisters for our whole life and I´m so thankful for all the beautiful memories that we shared together. I will always remember her smile and all the fun family times that we shared with so many cookie bakes, summers together, and visiting with her in the Villages. We love and miss her so much.
