Curtis Pratt Obituary

North Port, FL – Edward Curtis Pratt passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday morning March 28 in North Port, Florida at the age of 82. Curtis is predeceased by his loving wife, Jennifer Pratt, who passed away on August 8, 2021. Curtis is survived by his sons, Judson and Scott (Crystal) Pratt, and his granddaughters Kaleigh and Samantha Pratt. Curtis was born on June 6, 1942 to the late Harry Edward and Eleanor Pratt (Frame). Curtis graduated in June of 1961 from Boardman High School and attended Youngstown State University, where he met Jennifer. The two were later married in Youngstown on June 18, 1966 at Gibson Heights Presbyterian Church. After earning a Bachelor's in business, Curtis started his career at Youngstown Sheet & Tube and then continued on as a sales product manager of tubular steel for the J&L division of LTV Steel and eventually retired from Maverick Steel in 2003. Curtis lived with his wife and two sons in Boardman, Ohio, later moving to Poland, Ohio and finally in 2018 moving to Siesta Key, FL. Curt, as he was called by his buddies, enjoyed playing golf for many years and later enjoyed spending time relaxing with Jenny in their Siesta Key condo. Poppy, as named by his granddaughters, was a constant source of entertainment for them. With a dry sense of humor, Curt made friends everywhere he went, always remembering those whom he had met. He was deeply saddened when the love of his life, Jenny, passed in 2021. We know they are together and loving each other once again. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Mr. Pratt's passing can be sent to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of his late wife Jenny.
