Janet Louise Murray

Janet Murray, 79, of Dunnellon, passed away peacefully on March 13,2025 surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Salem, Ohio to Charles and Florence Mead. She attended Dunnellon High School. Janet is survived by her loving husband, Robert Murray; her son, Jerry Smith; her daughter, Joni Varnadoe, and her husband, Greg Varnadoe; her granddaughter, Marli Kevelin, her husband, Corey Kevelin, her granddaughter Laney Varnadoe; and her great-grandson, Cooper Kevelin, her granddaughter Rachelle Troutman, granddaughter Leandra Hickson, great-granddaughter Kadence Dice, and great-grandson Logan Hickson. She worked for the phone company, Marion County Schools, was an avid blood donor and Tops member for many years. She was known for her big heart, her generous smile and infectious laugh. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Robert's Funeral Home in Dunnellon on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 5:00PM - 7:00 PM, followed by a private burial. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Janet Murray's life. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to friends, family, and Hospice of Marion County for their support during this time.
