Lawrence Michael Morrison

Lawrence Michael (Larry) Morrison, age 44, of Ocala, FL, passed away on February 4, 2025, in Ocala, surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born in Baton Rouge, LA, on December 25, 1980. He spent most of his childhood in Jacksonville, FL, graduating from Wolfson High School in 1999, after which he joined the United States Army. He served in the Army for six years, and saw more of the world than most people ever do, with deployments in Saudi Arabia, Japan, and South Korea. After his time in the Army, he went on to become an HVAC technician in Ocala, FL. On weekends, he loved mountain biking trails with his friends, fishing, and bringing his twins Carter and Cason to visit his nearby grandfather, Frank Sospenzi. Larry is survived by his children Carter and Cason, and their mother Tory; his parents, Dale and Susan Morrison; his sisters, Erica Morrison and Caryn Finney and her husband, Allen; his grandfather Frank Sospenzi; his grandma Jean Johnson; his girlfriend Christina Scott and her daughter BreAnn; his niece Grace and nephews Ezra, Aaron, and Jacob; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who also loved him dearly. Larry is preceded in death by his grandma Judy Sospenzi, his grandfathers Bill Johnson and Ed Morrison, and his aunt Stacy Sullivan. Larry will be remembered by all for his kind and generous heart, beaming smile, and ability to make anyone laugh. He was a gentle soul who could befriend even the most timid of animals, who must have sensed his innate kindness. A big kid at heart himself, he loved being a dad and spending time with his kids, building with Legos and playing video games together. Visitation and funeral services in celebration of his life will be held at Roberts of Ocala West Chapel on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 10:00 am.
