Luis Felipe Rivera Jr

Luis Felipe Rivera JR was born in 1956 in Trenton New Jersey. At an early age he took on painting and sketching, which became his lifelong passion. In the early1970's the family moved to his parents' hometown of Utuado, Puerto Rico where he attended Junior and High school. After graduation he joined the US Army and became an award-winning pastry chef. Following his Army time, he returned to Utuado for some time before deciding to move to New Jersey where he met and married the love of his life the former Linda Airel. Louie, as he was known to his friends, and Linda made a home in Little Falls then Toms River, New Jersey. Louie attended Anthem College where he received a degree in Graphic Design and Animation. Louie's artistic talents shone through in his drawings and paintings, capturing the world as he saw it – a place of beauty, humor, and endless possibility. In September of 2024 Louie and Linda and their dog Molly, moved to Ocala Florida to their dream home after retiring. Louie passed away on Sunday January 19 th 2025 surrounded by friends and family leaving behind his wife of 21 years Linda, two children Shami and Luis III, three step children Lori, Christopher and Ian and five grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Lydia and brother Angelo. Louie will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, a loving and gentle soul with a passion for life, art, music and the Kansas City Chiefs.
