Reginald Evans Obituary

Life's Reflections of Reginald L. Evans "Radio" On October 23, 1965, a handsome baby boy – our beloved father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend – was born to the late Frank and Ella Evans. They named him Reginald, though many knew him by his nickname, "Radio." Reginald was a member of Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Flemington, Florida, where his spiritual foundation was laid early in life. Over the years, he visited neighboring churches, fellowshipping with others and strengthening his walk with God. In time, he gave his life to Christ – a heartfelt decision that brought him peace and direction. He was known throughout the community not only for his kind heart and welcoming spirit, but also for his unmatched talent at the grill. Barbecuing wasn't just a hobby for Reginald – it was a gift he used to bring people together. Whether it was a family reunion, community gathering, or a Sunday afternoon cookout, you could count on "Radio" to fire up the grill. He also had a special gift for humor. Reginald loved telling jokes and found joy in making others laugh. His sense of humor was one-of-a-kind, and his laughter was contagious. He could light up a room with just a few words and always knew how to brighten someone's day. Reginald was also an active member of the Raleigh Community Club, where he enjoyed contributing to local events and uplifting those around him. His involvement was a reflection of his deep love for people and his community. Reginald was employed with Skeeter's Trucking, where he was admired for his strong work ethic, dependability, and easy-going nature. Reginald loved deeply and lived fully. He valued family above all, always putting their needs before his own and making time for those he loved. His laughter, warmth, and famous barbecue will forever be remembered. Reginald L. Evans departed his life on Sunday, May 25, 2025 He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving children; Daughters: Tearria Evans of Ocala and Subreal (Aremon) Evans-McCoy of Germany; Sisters: Lillie (Charles) Sams of Fairfield, Florida, Ollive (John) DeWese of Citra, Florida, Delois (Willman) Norris of West Palm Beach, Florida, Alesia (Robert) Randall of Silver Springs Shores, Florida; Brothers: Lutrell Evans Sr and Frank Evans Jr of Flemington, FL; Grandchildren: Jurnee McCoy, Dai'len Smith and Norman McCoy; Aunt: Rosa Roberts of Sarasota, Florida; Uncle: Rev. Uncle Reggie,

It´s difficult to believe you are gone. I will forever treasure the memories we had together, especially the ones in which you would crack the funniest jokes and make everyone laugh. Although you are no longer here with us, I know you´re smiling down on the family. I´m blessed to have been able to be a part of your journey through life and even more blessed to have had you be a part of mine

Forever in my heart
