Rita Miller Obituary

Rita C. Miller, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2026 in Ocala, FL surrounded by her husband and two sons. She was born Clareen Rita Fabbro on April 12,1941 in Redwood City, CA to Luigi "Jim" Tarzizio Fabbro and Clara Fabbro. She spent her childhood in California attending Sequioa High School. She moved to Los Angeles in 1963 to work at Insurance Company of North America. In 1964 she married Alvin L. Miller in Los Angeles, CA and resided there for two years until being stationed at Fort Wainwright, Fairbanks, AK. In 1971 they moved to Bellingham, WA where they raised their two sons Darin and Jeff. After retiring from Western Washington University, where Rita worked for 14 years in several staff positions, her and Al retired in 1999 and traveled around the United States and Europe. In 2004 they found their retirement home in The Villages, FL.

Rita was guided by her faith in God and collected all types of angels in every room of the house, a reflection of who she was, always watching over her family, more concerned about well-being of others than her own. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be remembered for her unwavering support for family and friends. She had a wonderful sense of sarcastic humor which could lift any spirit. She loved the holidays, playing cards, doing puzzles, reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Al Miller; her sons Darin and Jeff Miller; her daughter-in-law Anna Miller; and grandchildren Jason, Jessica, Amanda, and Emilie. The family will gather privately to honor her memory. Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-430-1449.
