Robin Lee Peronto MacBlane, beloved mother, daughter, sister, partner, and friend, passed away on August 9th, 2025 in Ocala, Florida at the age of 70. She was born on September 11th, 1954 in Milwaukee, WI to Calvin Joseph Peronto Jr. and Beverly Ann Peronto (Wiegert). From an early age, Robin had a boundless imagination and a gift for creative expression. She touched the lives of countless children as a celebrated children's author, weaving stories filled with warmth, wonder, and life lessons. A talented musician and accomplished artist, she brought beauty into the world not only through her art but through her spirit. Many will also remember her as a vibrant radio personality, whose voice, wit, and empathy brightened the days of her listeners. Her creative journey was shared with her long-time friend and partner Larry Whitler. Together, they co-hosted a beloved radio program, wrote children's stories, and brought joy to families through their children's shows. Their partnership-both in art and in life-was a source of inspiration to all who knew them. Robin was deeply committed to her community. She tirelessly raised funds for literacy programs, believing every child deserved the gift of reading. For many years, she served as a judge for local school video contests, encouraging young filmmakers to share their voices and stories. Her generosity of time, talent, and heart made a lasting impact on countless lives. Beyond her talents, Robin's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her children; her daughter Shannon Naranjo (MacBlane) and son TJ MacBlane; her grandson Owen MacBlane; her brother, James Peronto; her mother, Beverly Serridge; and her cherished friends, who were like family to her. She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Joseph Peronto Jr., as well as her former husband of 40 years, Ronald John MacBlane, with whom she shared many years of love, laughter, and the joy of raising their children. Her life was a testament to kindness, creativity, and the belief that stories-whether told in words, in music, or in color-can change the world. A celebration of Robin's life will be held on August 16th, 2025 at Robert's funeral home, where friends and family will gather to share memories, music, and love. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
