Steven Van Voorhis Obituary

Steven Coerte Van Voorhis Jr., 79, of The Villages, Florida, passed away on August 29, 2025, at The Villages Hospital. Steve was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in business administration and subsequently received a master's degree from Iona College. He spent 30 years at International Paper, and was known there for his quick wit, his dedication to the company, and his fairness to the people he worked with. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Steven Van Voorhis Sr. and his mother, Gloria (Schneider) Van Voorhis. He is survived by his wife, Janis, his children, David Van Voorhis, Karin (Greg) Keener, and Sara Van Voorhis, and his two grandchildren, Ben and Megan. Steve will be remembered for his kindness to others, his dry sense of humor, and his love for his family. He will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
