Eric Nathaniel Penland, Jr., son of Eric Penland, Sr. and Tiffany Dobbs "Our Love Child", entered the world on December 27, 1994 and ascended to Heaven on October 11, 2025. A Letter from Eric Penland Jr. Hey Family and Friends, It's your boy, Eric. I just wanted to let y'all know-I made it home. No more hospital walls-just peace, light, and love beyond measure. I'm smiling big up here, watching over each of you, grateful for every laugh, lesson, and moment we shared. I want y'all to come together and celebrate my life, not with tears, but with the joy we brought to each other. The service will be held 2:00pm Friday, October 24, 2025, at The Refreshing Center, 826 Haywood Road, Asheville, NC 28806. The repass details are still being worked out, but I know my crew-y'all will make it something special. My armor bearers and flower girls, thank you for standing strong and walking with me in spirit. Until we meet again, - Lil Eric Eric Nathaniel Penland, 30, passed away peacefully October 11, 2025 at Ridgecrest Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Duffield, VA. He was the son of Eric Nathaniel Penland, Sr. and Tiffany Dobbs. As a little boy he was full of energy. He loved to ride child motorcycles. His favorite food was chicken wings and Nehi Peach soda. You would see Eric sportily dressed in Nike Jordan shoes. One of his favorite television shows was General Hospital. Eric loved music including Tupac, Lil Wayne, Lil Boosie and other hip-hop music. He enjoyed watching NBA basketball, with the Making Wish Foundation enabling him to meet Kobe Bryant. Eric was preceded in death by brother, Mackenzie Strickland. Surviving family to cherish his memory includes father, Eric Penland, Sr. and mother, Tiffany Dobbs; sisters, Desire Campbell, TaCora Bates, Torri Yona Penland and Erica Tillman; brothers, Ka'Neco Penland, Tyhem Penland and Montez Penland; aunts and uncles; and a lot of cousins.
