Jason Rash Obituary

Jason Ryan Rash, 50, of Marshall, NC, passed away on September 12, 2025. Born on September 30, 1974, in Asheville, NC, to Leroy Elmer Rash and the late Brenda Dillingham Rash(2014). Jason was a proud graduate of North Buncombe High School and later attended A-B Tech. He found joy in the simple pleasures of lifeâ€"fishing on quiet mornings, listening to music, and cheering on the Carolina Panthers. A dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge, Jason also worked with Southeastern Grocers, where he was known for his reliability and work ethic. He is survived by his beloved children, Alex Rash and Trent Rash, both of Weaverville, NC. Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Penland Family Funeral Home, 125 South Avenue, Swannanoa, NC 28778. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. The graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM at Gabriel’s Creek Cemetery, 132 Gabriel's Creek Church Rd, Mars Hill, NC 28754.
