Richard Davis Obituary

Richard Dean Davis was born a "twin "on May 9,1955 in Hendersonville, NC to the late Harold and Priscilla Alexander Davis. He departed this life Friday, June 6, 2025. Richard was a graduate of Asheville High School class of 1973. He spent many years working as a roofer, and painter. He was always willing to lend a hand to pressure wash or paint. Affectionately known as "Twin", he was well known for his love for his family. He had a big sense of humor that was so grand that any time he was around family and friends there was always a memorable moment. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death his twin brother, Robert Lane Davis; sisters, Marion Mays Davis (Norvell) and Joyce Ann Davis Miller (Quentin); all of Asheville. Left to cherish in his memory are his daughter, LaTrease M. Logan, Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Tecora Logan-Cason, Charlotte, NC, Tyree R. Logan, Atlanta, GA and Devonna M. Hyatt, Charlotte, NC; sisters, Harriet Davis Coleman (Gary), Chandler, AZ, Janet B. Davis Whiteside (Massey), Asheville, NC, Phyliss E. Davis Moore (Glenn), Seaside, CA, Kathy L. Davis Lindsey (Edward), Raleigh, NC and Willie M. Davis (Anne), Asheville, NC; aunt, Sue Evans, Belton, SC; cousin/friend, Darrell Alexander (Tina), Asheville, NC and James "Rodney" Lester, Asheville, NC; a host of nieces and nephews who he affectionately loved. Public viewing will be 2:00-6:00pm Friday, June 20, 2025 in the chapel of Ray Funeral & Cremation Service. Funeral service will be 3:00pm Saturday, June 21, 2025 also in the chapel. Twin was an amazing man , him and my mother dated for a very long time . And he became a father figure in my life . He was always there to help and have a heart of gold . I have A lot of memories with twin that I could talk about for days . Heaven has definitely gained a beautiful soul rest in heaven Twin. You will truly be missed !
