Anthea Mannion Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mrs. Anthea Mannion (nee Barker), 88, of Scottsdale, Arizona who died peacefully at home on March 8th, 2025. Anthea was born on December 2nd, 1936, in Cheshire, UK, to the late Alfred and Eleanor Barker. She was a much beloved younger sister to the late Wrayton. Anthea was a beautician in a department store in Manchester, UK, before relocating to the USA to continue her profession. She spent much of her life as a devoted wife to the late Jack Mannion where they lived in Santa Barbara with their much-loved dog, Brandy. On moving to Scottsdale, Arizona she became a committed member at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church where she made many friends. Anthea will be remembered for her kindness, humor, generosity of spirit, and her love for her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and joy that will forever be cherished by those who knew her. We will all miss her dearly. A memorial service to celebrate Anthea's life will be held on Wednesday May 7th 2025, at 11am at St Barnabas Episcopal Church, 6715 N Mockingbird Lane, Scottsdale, AZ 85253. The interment will follow in the Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society, Phoenix, Arizona and the Saint Barnabas on the Desert Episcopal Church Foundation.
