Colleen Lavalette Obituary

Colleen Lavalette, age 76, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, in El Mirage, Arizona, surrounded by her loving family at her bedside. born on January 18, 1949, in Burlington, Vermont, Colleen was a deeply loving and giving soul who made it her mission in life to care for others---especially children whom many might overlook. Her heart was always open, and she touched countless loves with her compassion and warmth. Colleen is survived by her devoted husband, Stephen; her two beloved sons, James and Darin; her dear sister, Ethel, and her cherished grandchildren, Brooke and Stephen, who lovingly called her "Guma". To her nieces and nephews, she was affectionately known as "Keen Keen". She is now reunited in heaven with her dearly missed parents and nine siblings, whose memories she treasured throughout her life. Her family was her world, and nothing brought her more joy than spending time with them---especially during FaceTime calls and moments shared over her favorite pastimes. She will be remembered not only for her kindness and strength, but also for her ability to see the good in everyone. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave so freely and the lives she nurtured along the way. A private memorial will be held by the family.
