Doretha Bridges Obituary

In Loving Memory of Doretha Bridges With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Doretha Bridges, who entered eternal rest on March 4, 2025, at the age of 73. She was born on November 26, 1951, and throughout her life, she exemplified love, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to her family and faith. Doretha was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She touched countless lives with her warmth, wisdom, and generous heart. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she found her greatest joy in the presence of those she cherished most. Whether through her words of encouragement, her gentle spirit, or the simple yet powerful ways she showed love, she left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew her. She is survived by her beloved son, Antoine Stanford; her caring daughter-in-law, Nancy Stanford; and her two adored grandsons, Ayden and Austen Stanford, who were the light of her life. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Billie Faye Alexander, and her loving brothers, Leroy Bridges Jr., Willie C. Bridges Sr., Purvis Bridges Sr., and Adolph Bridges. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters-in-law, Sherri Stanford, Deborah Robinson, and Gerlene Bridges; her brother-in-law, Charles Cook; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Jil Stanford, whose memory she carried in her heart every day. Though we grieve her loss, we find peace in knowing she is resting in God's embrace. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire us, and her legacy will live on in the love she shared. As we say goodbye, we hold on to the cherished memories she gave us and trust that we will see her again one day. Doretha's love was a gift, and her presence a blessing. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
