Jesse McElroy Obituary

Jesse Hayter McElroy, beloved husband, veteran, and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on November 10, 1928, Jesse lived a long and fulfilling life marked by kindness, integrity, and a joyful spirit. He was a man of his word, known for his honorable character, quick wit, and warm smile - qualities his family and friends will remember most. Jesse proudly served his country as a veteran and carried that same sense of dedication into every aspect of his life. He had a deep love for nature and adventure. He enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting, and spending time in the great outdoors. He especially loved Lake of the Woods in Texas, where he asked his beloved wife, Frances McElroy, to camp with him - a memory they treasured together. The two honeymooned in the breathtaking Rocky Mountain National Park, a fitting start to their journey together. A gifted artist, Jesse found joy in carving, drawing, and painting. His creative spirit and appreciation for beauty were just another way he shared his heart with the world. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances McElroy, and a legacy of love, laughter, and honor that will continue in the hearts of all who knew him.
