Joseph L. Gallo Jr.

Joseph L. Gallo Jr, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, passed away, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. Born in New York, Joe proudly retained his roots, often regaling anyone who would listen with tales of his hometown for hours on end. His love for the Yankees was unmatched, and he lived and breathed baseball. Another favorite pastime was professional wrestling, which brought him endless entertainment. Joe's love for bowling was a significant part of his life. He was an avid bowler who built a community around the sport, participating in bowling leagues in both New York and later in Phoenix, Arizona, where he and Maryanne shared a life together. His bowling leagues brought him joy and camaraderie, and he will be deeply missed by his fellow bowlers. At home, Joe was a proud animal dad to a menagerie of beloved pets, including 8 loyal dogs, about a dozen affectionate cats, and a bird named Louie, who brought him endless delight. His love for animals was only matched by his love for his family. Joe is preceded in death by his father, Joseph L. Gallo Senior; his father-in-law, Thomas Drane; his mother-in-law, Frances Drane; and his brother-in-law, John Drane. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Maryanne (Drane) Gallo; his daughter, Jennifer Gallo; and numerous family members who will mourn his passing for years to come. He also leaves behind his ex-wife, Barbara, with whom he remained friends despite their brief marriage. Joe's warmth, humor, and dedication to his family and friends will be deeply missed. His New York spirit and stories will live on through the memories shared with those who knew him. Rest in peace, Joe.
