Josephine Griffin

Josephine Graham Griffin passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on August 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Josephine was born on March 6 th 1934 in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania, the daughter of Sophia Repiscak and joseph Graham. In 1957, she graduated St. Mary's School of Nursing at the top of her class and went on to obtain her registered nursing license in New York state. In 1973, Josephine (now a single mother) moved to Arizona with her two daughters in where continued her nursing career while she raised her children until she retired. Josephine was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Graham, brother William Graham, sister Elizabeth Graham Turk, ex-husband Willfred Griffin. Josephine is survived by her two daughters Jeanne Bowling (husband John Bowling) and Georgia Flournoy (husband Frank Flournoy). She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Christopher Flournoy, Alexandra Austin (husband Ryan Austin) Nicholas Flournoy (wife Addison Roney Flournoy) Vincent Flournoy (wife Sarah Flaming Flournoy), Hannah Bowling, Ian Bowling and seven great grandchildren: Lively Flournoy, Bren Flournoy, Jett Flournoy, Lynnox Flournoy, Henry Austin, Scottlyn Flournoy. Josephine was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. The funeral service will be held at the Mountain View Funeral Home 7900 E. Main St. Mesa Arizona September 12, 2025 at 11 am. We will always carry Josephine's memory in our hearts. May you rest in peace in the presence of our God and Savior Jesus Christ.
