Judith J Hansen

Judith J. Hansen, 78 of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday August 5, 2025, cared for and surrounded by her family. Born in Ohio on November 6, 1946 to Howard and Kathryn Jacobs, Judy was a loving, kind, and beautiful daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She always welcomed everyone into her heart and home and no one was a stranger. After moving to Phoenix in 1978, Judy earned a degree and worked in Interior Design. She later became an amazing caregiver, helping to raise many of her grandchildren. Judy loved to read, dance, cook, and craft. Throughout her life, she hosted and was the heart of many joyful holidays and celebrations, including Christmas celebrations complete with Santa and his bag of gifts for the flock of children in her life. Judy is survived by her loving husband of forty years, Eugene Hansen; her children Robert Cobourn (Lisa) and their children Jack (Kate), Steven, and Ryan; Kathryn Cvar (Anthony) and their children William and Carrie; Michelle Meyer (Peter), and their children Diana, Anthony, and Kyle. She is also survived by her siblings Jack Jacobs (Michele) and Joni Jacobs, as well as her children of the heart Patrick O'Boyle and Robin Bertozzi, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, devoted friends, and the entire Hansen family. She will always be remembered and dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched. A memorial service will be held at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary on September 13, 2025 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, Judy's family respectfully requests that all recommended cancer screenings be completed. Donations can be made to Gigi's Playhouse in Phoenix in the name of Kyle Meyer, or to Hospice of the Valley.
