Judith Beryle Marks

Judy Marks (1941-2025) passed away on August 14, 2025. Judy was born on November 10, 1941, to Melvin and Margaret Shea in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Judy was the youngest of three girls. Judy was a force of nature fiercely independent, full of life, and always doing things her way. She lived with a spirit of adventure and deep love for her family and friends. Whether she was cooking up a meal for loved ones, enjoying a good bowl of matzo ball soup, skydiving on her 60th birthday, she embraced life with joy and authenticity. She found happiness in the simple pleasures: watching golf, NFL, and NASCAR, playing bingo and mahjong, reading, and chatting with her friends. Her phone calls were legendary filled with laughter, stories, and love. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild, and lit up whenever she saw their faces or received new photos. Judy taught us to live boldly and love deeply. She showed us that independence is a gift, and that life is best lived on your own terms. Even in her later years, she remained active, volunteering and staying connected with those around her. Her legacy is one of strength, warmth, and unwavering devotion to the people she cared about. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Melvin Shea, her two sisters, Joan and Janet and love her of life, Richard Fife. She is survived by Children David (Dorrie), Michael (Carol) and Lisa (Jim); Grandchildren Ella, Evan, Eliza, Morgan (Matthew), Sara (Jesse), Noah (Megan) and Alec (Grace); Great-grandchild Avery and her favorite German Shepherd Kane who all loved their Baubie. We will miss her dearly, but we carry her spirit with us her laughter, her wisdom, and her love.
