Kenneth Criag "Ken" Schirmang

Kenneth Craig Schirmang October 1, 1952 – May 14, 2025 Kenneth "Ken" Craig Schirmang, 72, of Golf, Illinois, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Born in Chicago on October 1, 1952, Ken was the beloved son of William and Barbara Schirmang. Ken was a proud graduate of Loyola Academy in Wilmette and St. Louis University. He went on to become a successful business owner, working alongside his family at Skokie Valley Beverage. The company, a major distributor across a wide territory, was known for consistently achieving record-breaking sales throughout Chicagoland. Among its many accomplishments, the business supplied Old Style beer to the City and Wrigley Field, while also distributing a variety of import brands across the broader region. Rooted in his Catholic faith, Ken was a dedicated member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) in Glenview IL. He had a deep appreciation for classic cars and was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. Known for his generous spirit, Ken was always willing to help those in need. Ken is survived by his dearest friend, Cindy Schirmang; his children, Tracy Schirmang and Timothy Schirmang; his siblings, Connie (John) Griffin, Bill (Kathy) Schirmang, and Tony (Mary Beth) Schirmang; and many extended family members and close friends who will miss his big heart, jovial disposition, and memorable personality. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Barbara Schirmang.
