Martha Payan was a wonderful mother and a very committed Christian. She loved her community. Professionally, her civil rights work had a significant impact on the lives of many. Martha was an outstanding employee and had tremendous human social service skills. As a friend, colleague, co-conspirator of good trouble and fellow servant leader I can say that Martha Payan will be missed. She is at rest in Our Lord Jesus The Christ. We will see her again on that Great Getting Up Morning. Until then, may the courage of her convictions live on in the lives of those she touched. Keep the faith, baby!

Martha was a wonderful caring woman. I worked with her doing civil rights work. She loved her sons and grandchildren. And she had a big heart for the community. She gave as freely as she could to help those in need.
God bless her spirit and comfort her family.
