Paul Clarence Husby
December 23, 1945 - July 20, 2025
Paul Clarence Husby, 79, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 20, 2025 in Arizona
at Goldwater Assisted Living with his loving wife, Nancy Husby, by his side.
Paul was born in Menomonie, WI on December 23, 1945 to parents Clarence William Husby
and Ellen Elizabeth (Stoll) Husby. He graduated from UW-Stout in 1969 with a degree in
Industrial Technology. He married his former wife, Patty (Borgstadt) Thomas, in 1967, and they
devotedly raised their two children, Wendy Sue and Michael Paul, together.
Paul enjoyed a 38-year career with 3M including executive management positions and stateside
assignments in Minnesota, Oklahoma, and California and spent 12 years working international
assignments in Belgium, the U.K. and Brazil.
Generosity characterized Paul's life. He loved the ministry of Hope Unlimited for Children, a
Christrian organization committed to rescuing and transforming the lives of Brazilian street
children. After marrying in 2011, Paul and Nancy moved to Vitoria, Brazil working full-time at
Hope Mountain for over 2 years mentoring the boys who lived there.
For the last 12 years, Paul and Nancy have enjoyed their life in Sedona, Arizona. He
co-published two manufacturing books during that time and was a member of Christ Lutheran
Church and sang in the choir.
Paul enjoyed running, playing basketball, golfing, tossing a ball with grandchildren, watching
sports, and reading and highlighting in his Bible and leadership books. His kind presence will be
missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Husby, and son, Jared (Noni) Mason, and grandchildren,
Django, Geivan, and Nico; his former wife, Patty Thomas, and daughter Wendy (Rex)
Branstetter and son Michael (Kim) Husby, and grandchildren, Kaley (Drew) Fry, Levi (Maggie)
Branstetter, Will, Karis, Zeke, Kate, and Isaiah Branstetter; great-grand children Elijah and
Caleb Fry and Adelyn Branstetter. He is also survived by three siblings, Thomas (Ompon)
Husby, Linda (Geoff) Kuhn, and Susan (Brian) Richards.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Christ Lutheran
Church, 25 Chapel Rd. Sedona, AZ 86336. The service can be seen at www.christsedona.org.
