Shelley Ponce

Shelley Ponce (1964 – 2025) Shelley Lynn Ponce, beloved mother to 3 children, 34, 31, and 23, and grandmother to her grandchild, 7, passed away at her home in Phoenix, on August 14th, 2025, leaving a void her family cannot fill. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona in March 1964 to Paul and Marianne Brooks. She later moved to Reno, Nevada, where she met the love of her life, Salvador. Together, she and Salvador moved back to Phoenix where they decided to raise their kids and ended up working together at the Arizona State Legislature, while supporting her own mother, Marianne, in her later years. Shelley was a caring sister to her brother, Frank Brooks, and her sister, Paula Berlyn. She was also a devoted mother to Angelica, Alec, and Tyler, and gracious grandmother to her grandson, Rowan. The devotion and love she had for her children will be forever missed. Shelley took special joy in watching her children grow up to become the amazing, devoted, and caring individuals she raised them to be, and had fond memories of family vacations, graduations, and weddings. Shelley is survived by her husband, Salvador, her kids, Angelica, Alec, and Tyler, her grandson Rowan, as well as the many hearts and minds that she filled with joy each and every single day. Her service will be held on August 22, 2025, at Messinger Mortuaries, 7601 E Indian School Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85251, at 11:00am to 2:00pm.
