Amy Lyn Mathes (Sanchez)
(Melek) passed
away suddenly on June 7th 2023 at the age of 47.
Born in Albuquerque July
23rd 1973, Amy graduated from Cibola High
School and De Wolff School of cosmetology, she worked as a stylist and
later as a TSA agent.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Sanchez; her daughter Nicole Sanchez; her parents Bob and Sue Mathes and her brother David Mathes. She is survived by her son Justin Sanchez; her sister Kelly mathes, niece and nephew Hannah and Rowan Nigh;
cousins Megan Gutierrez and
family; Heather Vizcarra and family; Ted Elder. Cousins Tim and Lisa Hoover
Pruitt and family; Shelia Hoover;
Richard and Pam Hoover Puryear and family; Darryl Hoover; Jean Anaya; Jon Melek.
Amy made a special lasting impression on everyone she met. She was a loving wife, a great mom, a caring daughter, and fun sister and friend. We will all miss her dearly. A celebration of life will be held in the fall, date to be determined.
