Andres "Andy" Manuel Santiago

Andres Manuel Santiago, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend has joined his mother Carmen, and father Andres "Nani" as our guardian angels above. "Andy," as he was know to his family and friends, grew up in the South Broadway area which was a hub for his family and friends. The family was a major factor in the Santiago households, aunties, uncles, and cousins a stone's throw away. He carried that belief in his heart, mind, and soul throughout his lifetime.

South Broadway was a thriving community filled with athletics and Andy loved them all! His love of sports turned to the love of his life Janice Bellveal. They were married in the late fifties and began the family love of their two boys Michael and Randall Santiago. Continuing the love of athletics both boys followed suit. With vigor and dedication, Andy worked for the Bernalillo County road Department for 30 years. He was out in the rain, wind, snow, and sleet to ensure his family and friends would be safe on the streets. We can recall the days when his love for being an umpire was unmatched. But known by all, must be his giving soul and his dangerous smile.

He is preceded in death by his son Michael Santiago, and Michael's wife Karen. He is survived by his son Randall Santiago; his grandsons Jared and Michael "Shane" Santiago; his twin granddaughters Yolanda and Roxy Velasquez; his great-grandchildren; Noah Santiago, Ireland Loveland, Phoenix Arnold, and Caviezel Reel; his brothers Robert "Bobby" Santiago, Richard "Ric" Santiago, sisters Lupita "Pita" Valencia, and Frances Santiago de Murphy, his nieces, nephews, cousins from around the globe and the continuing extensions.

Andres will be remembered, cherished, and loved by all whose lives he has touched. We know he will always be with us now and forever.

Services will be held on January 15, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church located at 562 Atrisco Dr. SW Albuquerque, NM 87105. The Eulogy will be read at 9:45am and the Mass will begin at 10:00am.
