Carlos Sanchez Obituary
a long time Albuquerque resident peacefully passed away in his sleep on September 14, 2022. Charles was born June 9th, 1929 in Pastura, NM to his late parents Carlos and Andrea Sanchez. He was a graduate of Albuquerque High School and the University of New Mexico. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp in Korea, was an avid handball player, and State Farm Insurance Agent for 42 years. He will be lovingly missed by his wife Cordelia Carolus, his four daughters Valerie (Kim) Wroblewski, Dianne Sanchez, Kimberly Sanchez, and Lisa (Mike) Floyd; his two sons Michael (Marisa) Sanchez and Matthew (Crystal) Sanchez; his sisters Rosemary Garcia and Gloria Beach; his seven grandchildren Danielle, Micah, Kristen, Paige, Wyatt, Alex, and Abigail; along with many nieces, nephews,
cousins and long-time friends. Family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate Charles on November 7, 2022 at 11am at Daniel's Family Funeral Services and Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd. SE in Rio Rancho, NM. In lieu of flowers, Charles' family would prefer donations on his behalf to Semper Fi & America's Fund: https://thefund.org/. Sincere regrets to Cordelia and family from all of Charlie's longtime friends in the Albuquerque handball community. Charlie loved to play handball and be among his fellow players. He proudly attended the Semper Fi handball tourney at Marine Recruit Depot in San Diego where he shared memories with his fellow Marines. Au Revoir & Rest in peace, Marine.
