Corey Chester Klarkowski

Corey Chester Klarkowski, 41, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning September 23rd, 2025. He is survived by Nel Summers his wife of 14 years; mother, Patricia Rand-Klarkowski; father, James Klarkowski; sister, Alethea; brothers, James and Patrick; nephew, Henry; and niece, Clara.

Born in Albuquerque and raised in Cedar Crest, he attended Our Lady of the Assumption school, St. Pius High School and graduated from Manzano High School. Shortly after graduating high school, he moved to Albuquerque. Through his 20's he was very active in the Our Lady of the Assumption Youth Group, Young Adult Group, and Confirmation Class. He enjoyed tinkering and "fixing" just about anything and had a knack for working on cars and motorcycles. He completed a certificate program in motorcycle repair in 2005. He enjoyed playing the trumpet, bass guitar, and dabbled with other string instruments.

His true calling was helping other people; in 2010 he completed nursing school and over time was employed at several hospitals and facilities in Grants, Albuquerque, and Las Vegas, NM. He later put his nursing skills to good use as the primary caregiver for his wife, Nel.

A Rosary, followed by Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 811 Guaymas Pl. NE, starting at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Following Mass please join us in enjoying a lite meal and sharing favorite memories of Corey at a memorial reception at 1:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming Reception Center, 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM.
