Danny Butcher Obituary

Danny Lee Butcher

On the 14th of February 2024, Danny Lee Butcher, 83, passed from this world into the hands of GOD. What a blessing it was for him to finally go home. Danny was born to Vyril and Gladys Butcher. The 3rd child of 4. Danny grew up in Grand Junction Colorado and after graduation from high school he moved to Los Angeles Ca. Then at the age of 26 he got drafted into the Army and was eventually stationed at Sandia Base here in ABQ.

It was during this time that Danny met the love of his life, Kurt Oler. During the next 36 years Dan and Kurt started a business and lived and loved each other, life, family and friends. Dan loved ABQ, his neighborhood and yard where he was an avid gardener. Danny loved taking the excess produce to the Rio Grande Grower Market. Dan was very social and he loved entertaining/helping his many friends. Dan was full of life and never shy. As a friend once stated: Dan was one of a kind, most aggravating, generous, funny and occasionally obscene.

Dan is proceeded in death by Kurt Oler, partner of 36 years, parents Vyril and Gladys, brothers Hubert and Buford, and his nephew Arthur. Dan is survived by his sister Marquita and her 3 children. Charles and his children, daughter Rachel and son Joshua and family, Mark and partner Robert and Laura & Arlen.
