Dylan David Newlander



We are sad to report on the passing of Dylan David Ne-wlander. Dylan was born to C. David Newlander and Judy Adkins in Albuquerque on November 24, 1970. Dylan survived his father and passed away on August 16, 2023, in San Carlos, Mexico. His survivors include his brother, Hunter Alexander Newlander of New Zealand, mother, Judy Adkins Hill, his wife Lindy Anne Jewell Newlander, and his three children: Jacob David, Jordan Elizabeth and Benjamin Luke.

Always the scholar, Dylan graduated from Highland High School in 1988 as salutatorian of his class, accepted a scholarship at Carnegie Mellon and completed his studies at the University of New Mexico. Dylan was proud to be a member of the Kappa Delta Rho

fraternity.

Dylan learned coding in his father's office at age 5 and became a pioneer in the early years of Internet based startups. He was the lead administrator in Data Warehousing for Computer Associates in Australia in the late 90s and remained an expert in this field for the next 25 years.

Those that knew him recall his love of cats, his fine wit, and his appetite for travel. He left us far too early, and he will be greatly missed. 

The funeral will be held September 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Church, 40010 Osuna Rd. NE, with a reception immediately following. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. that day at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
