Mauzy, Eddy Morton



On Friday, October 16, 2015, Eddy Morton Mauzy returned to our Father's Heavenly kingdom.

He has four sons Morry, Joe, Gene, Monty (deceased) and daughter Lisa. Eddy was Also blessed with many grandchildren whom he loved deeply.

Eddy was born in Hot Springs NM and had three brothers. He attended Albuquerque high school but graduated in Idaho where he attend Boys State. However, riding bulls and working in the oilfields of NM led him to his beautiful wife of 55 years Janet Edgar. They pursued a life in the Turquoise mining industry and he would go on to become one of Southwests leading experts in this field. He sold turquoise gem stones to the native american artists & galleries to make award winning jewelry.

Later in life He founded and developed San Pedro Rock, a gravel materials business which provided gravel to many Landscape companies through out the state. He also was a veteran of Military service. Eddy is blessed with many friends in the gold miners clubs and advocated for protecting miners historical rights.

He is loved by his family and will be greatly missed. He always had a story and a smile.

A life memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday 10-22-2015 at camp Oroquay, 1441 state Hwy 344, Sandia Park, NM 87047. 505-281-5474. Graveside service will beheld at Memory Gardens, 6917 East Main St., Farmington, NM 87402 on 10-24-2015 at 2 pm.
