Eleanor Lovato Obituary

Eleanor Lovato

Eleanor Lovato passed away on December 29th, 2024 at home peacefully with family at her side. She was 104 and a long time resident of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband of 77 years, Amador B. Lovato. She is survived by three children, Danny (Peggy), Veronica and Alex. She has four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Eleanor was an excellent seamstress and quilter and each family member received a quilt. She belonged to many sewing clubs and worked at Hancock Fabrics and Ben Franklin. She traveled extensively with A.B. with involvement with POW, DAV and American Legion organizations. She was the last of ten siblings. She is also survived by many cousins, relatives and had many friends. She belonged to Queen of Heaven church and was very active with Catholic organizations.

There will be a rosary at 9:30 am and mass at 10:00 am at Queen of Heaven on January 20, 2025. Her interment will be on January 21, 2025 at the Santa Fe Veterans' Cemetery and she will be buried with her husband who was a World War II veteran.
