Eloise Lia Leyba



Eloisa Lia Leyba went home to our Lord on Saturday, December 12, 2020, after succumbing to COVID-19. She was born to Rafael & Marianita Silva Leyba on March 21, 1920, in Pena Blanca, NM. She was a devout Catholic and member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She is survived by daughters Tess Trujillo, Hilda Abeyta, and Rita Tyree; grandchildren Lia Leyba-Villagran & Phillip, Carlita Trujillo, Rosie Trujillo, Will & Kelly Tyree, Scarlett & Nick Chesser, and Savannah Tyree; great-grandchildren Marco Villagran, Raquel Villagran, Silver Trujillo, Charlize Trujillo, Noah Dean, Gunner Chesser, and a player to be named later; sisters Corine Moore & Sarah Sanchez; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Rosalita Silva & Imelda Leyba, brothers Gerald, Ramon, & Roy Leyba. Pallbearers will be Phillip Villagran, Marco Villagran, Simon Melchor, Silver Trujillo, Robert Moore, & Danny Abeyta. Visitation is Tuesday, December 22, 2:00 to 4:00pm at Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th Street NW. Current COVID restrictions allow no more than five people to gather; please stagger arrivals & keep your visit to a minimum. Private burial will be Wednesday, December 23, in Pena Blanca; there will be no reception.
