Eric Schwappach Obituary

Eric John Schwappach

Eric John Schwappach, 61, of Cataula, GA, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at his home.

Eric was born on December 3, 1962, in Minneapolis, MN to John and Micheline Schwappach. Eric is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tatiana; daughter, Kati; mother, Micheline; his siblings, Christopher (Mary), Michele (Lloyd), Laurie (Rick); niece, Alexandra (Ryne) and great nephew, Magnus. He is also survived by his beloved cats, Jasper and Bella. He was preceded in death by his father.

Eric was known for having a keen sense of humor and always made others laugh. He had an intense love of food and would try everything that was placed in front of him. He always missed green chile from his home state of NM, but indulged every time he made the trip. Despite the miles that separated them, Eric's family held him close in their hearts, their love for him undiminished by distance. Eric also made a strong impression and developed many deep friendships over his 30 year career at Total System Services, Inc. Eric is loved by many and will always be in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. Rest in Peace, Eric.

A mass, requesting prayers for our wonderful Eric, will be held at Holy Child Catholic Church in Tijeras, NM on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at noon. We will honor Eric's life with many happy memories at Ribs BBQ, 12220 NM 14 in Cedar Crest, NM beginning at 1:00pm on August 18, 2024. Snacks will be served.
