Eugene C. Martinez, IV, age 26, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 22, 2015. Eugene was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eugenio Martinez. He is survived by his parents, Eugene T. and Libby Martinez of Pecos, NM; brother, Robert J. Martinez; sister, Jennifer Martinez and Miguel Cruz; nephews, Joshua Soto and Vincent Cruz; his grandmother, Silveria L. Martinez; aunts, Barbara Zon, Margaret Martinez, Christina Lucero, Gloria Martinez, Shirley Sanchez, Leona Chavez-McAuley, and Rosemary Lucero; uncle, Rudy Lucero; great-uncle Dave Quintana; great-aunts, Delia Quintana, and Marie McAllister; cousins, Gwen Herrera, Leo Sanchez, Daniel Sanchez, Adele Montoya, Amanda Ramirez, Andrea Garcia, Maxine Strange, Ruby Lucero, Beth Lucero, Holly Lucero, Benny Lucero, Krista McAuley, Lauren McAuley and Andrew McAuley; very dear friends, Randy Snyder, Isaac Rockwell, Michael Robinson, Jason Chavez, and Renato (Doc) Dacpano; and many other relatives and friends.

"Buddy" as he was known by family and friends attended Albuquerque High School, graduating in 2006. He attended CNM and received his associate's degree in welding technology. Buddy won State recognition, two years in a row, in a welding competition in New Mexico and competed in Kansas City, Kansas for National Championship. He enjoyed socializing with his friends, attending concerts, working out and playing basketball with his brother and friends. Buddy had a love for music and he clowned around with family and friends. His favorite teams were the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Lakers. He will be greatly missed by all who came to know him as "Buddy".

Visitation will be held at FRENCH - University on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. till a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5303 Phoenix Ave. NE, on Friday May 29, 2015, 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Isaac Rockwell, Michael Robinson, Jason Chavez, Renato "Doc" Dacpano, Edgar Garcia, and Andrew McAuley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Vincent Castillo, Daniel Sanchez, Leo Sanchez and Martin Mendez. Please visit our online guestbook for Buddy at
