Fermin Rivera Obituary
Loving husband, father, son, grandfather, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the age of 86. Fermin was very proud of being in the Army in the 2nd Infantry Division. While serving his country he received a Purple Heart and a Silver Star. He loved fishing and hunting. He is preceded in death by a daughter Dianne R. Rivera. Fermin is survived by his loving wife, Irene Rivera, two sons Patrick and Gilbert Rivera and one daughter Shirley Rivera-Villegas. Also surviving are six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place on Friday, November 4, 2016 at San Jose Parish, 2401 Broadway Blvd. SE, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am with a Rosary to follow 10:30 am with the communion service to follow at 11:00 am Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Gabriel Rivera, Nicholas Rivera, A. J. Chaves, Stephanie Valencia, Amanda Chaves, Alyssa Chaves. To view Service information or leave a condolence please visit

My condolences to you, Gil, and to your entire family in the loss of your father. My prayers are with all of you in this sad and stressful time.
I am happy that I was able to get to know both your mother and father better earlier this year, and enjoyed the breakfast outings with them and our other friends.

Annie Duran and Family from Bernalillo express our
deep sympathy for the loss of Fermin. We will also
remember his smile and welcoming greetings.
I, Annie, do not today have anyone that can take me
to attend these services for Fermin, however, I will
remember him and my cousin Ireme and her famkly in
my prayers.
