Our father Joseph Ortiz

6/14/52 -7/3/22 of Albuquerque, NM passed away at home on July 3, 2022. He is survived by his children, Crystal Ortiz and partner Phillip and Joey Ortiz; and wife, Desiree; and his granddaughter, Eliana Padilla. He is also survived by his brother, Mark Ortiz and wife Janet; sister, Stella and husband Antonio; mother-in-law, Clarabelle Padilla; brother-in-law, Robert Padilla; sister-in-law Sylvia Gonzales and husband Manny, Gloria Lopez and all his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lucille Ortiz; his parents, Orlando and Elisa Ortiz; his brothers, Ivan and Orlando Ortiz; father-in-law, Nick Padilla; and sister-in-law, Ida Padilla. Joseph spent most his work career working for the City of Albuquerque Transit Department as a bus driver. He was married to his wife Lucille for 43 years. He enjoyed spending time at home with his children and granddaughter and was looking forward to the arrival of his newest granddaughter due in November. He loved to watch sports and action movies. He enjoyed tending to his garden and spending time with his grandpups. He also enjoyed family camping trips and occasionally going to the casino. He is now at peace with his wife who he missed tremendously. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Chapel, 4001 Osuna Rd NE 87109, on July 21, 2022 at 11:00 am with a reception to follow.
