Josie Ophelia Jaramillo

Josie Ophelia Jaramillo, age 96, born in El Rito, NM on March 10, 1929. A resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away September 27, 2025. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Elevi Jaramillo. She is survived by her children, Levi "Tony" Jaramillo, wife Sarah, Leroy Jaramillo, wife Rose & Rex Jaramillo: 4 grandkids, 2 great-grand kids, her very close sister Mary Jaramillo and many very close nephews & nieces as well as extended family & friends.

She held down the most important jobs in the world, mother, housewife, grandmother very much in the fashion of a Nortena of her generation. She did it all exceptionally! She made the best bread & tortillas; they will be missed.

Visitation will start at 7:45 am on Monday morning October 6, 2025 with a rosary at 8:15 am followed by services at 9:00 am with a reception afterwards all at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Santa Fe National Cemetery 501 N. Guadalupe, Santa Fe, NM where she will buried with her husband, Elevi.

Pallbearers are Connie Valdez, Kenny Jaramillo, Steve Martinez, Adam Jaramillo, Dennis Martinez & Anthony Jaramillo. Honorary pallbearer Mildred Valdez.
