Kent Saul Obituary

Kent F. Saul

Kent F. Saul passed away December 15, 2023 in Albuquerque, NM. Kent was born to parents William H. Saul and Hazel Frederickson Saul on April 7, 1948 in Raton, NM. As a child in a northeastern New Mexico town, he benefited from the many cultural influences that a mining area afforded at that time including music, food, and especially the strong car and motorcycle cultures existing in Raton which impacted the rest of his life.

After a family move to Albuquerque in 1960, Kent was in the first graduating class at Del Norte High School in 1966. He subsequently moved to California where he met his wife Katy. After a move back to New Mexico in the early 1970s, he ultimately became a successful business owner along with his wife Katy representing Xerox Corporation as an agent owner and winning many awards over the years as well as representing other agent owners in his agent advisory committee capacity. As the Valencia county chamber of commerce president, Kent worked tirelessly to promote and nourish the car and motorcycle hobbies he loved and make them business opportunities for Valencia County.

Kent was preceded in death by his brother David. He is survived by his wife Katy and son Venner. No services are planned at this time.

Katy and Venner,

I wanted to offer my condolences. I had some of the best conversations with Kent. When I met Kent through the Village of Los Lunas and the LL Chamber and the car show/cruise. I quickly realized we had more in common. My mom's family is from Raton, NM. My mom and my uncles knew Kents family and others from Raton. He was always good to me and gave me the best classic car advice. When I heard the news last year it had an impact on me and many others. Kent started our company off 20 years ago with Xerox and the service from your business was always professional, courteous and supportive until the end. I was able to hang out with him, and many other Valencia County car buffs and learn our history with the automobile. He had the coolest car collection, and know, I own one of yours (Chevy HHR SS). I told him, I did not want to purchase it if he would get in trouble. I still have the car and think of him every day. I drive it daily and promise to take care of it. Thank you and Venner for sharing Kent with me and others. He is missed but will not be forgotten.

Sincerely a Friend,

Michael Jaramillo

I met Kent in 1963, and never met a better man in my life. I'm sad at his passing, but the goodness of Kent's spirit lives on.
We were so sad to hear about Kent. God bless you both Katy and Venner

Kent was one of the good guys, it was always fun and interesting to be around him to talk and reminisce about cars and get togethers. Venner is lucky to have a dad like that. He will be seriously missed. In sympathy, Frank and Andi Brown
