Leonard Abeyta Obituary
Leonard G. Abeyta, 58 resident of Alameda, N.M. passed away on Thursday June 13, 2019. Leonard was born on November 17, 1960. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Monico, sisters Lorraine and Rebecca, and brother Freddy Abeyta. He is survived by his wife Debbie, of 37 years; three children, Janelle Abeyta and spouse Leo, son Isaiah Abeyta, Desiree Lopez and husband Serafin; three grandchildren, Zayden, Santiago and Damian; four sisters, Mary Ann Abeyta-Behnke, Agnes Lewis, Yvonne Pacheco, Andrea Abeyta and two brothers Ralph Abeyta and Marty Abeyta.
Funeral services will be held on Friday June 28, 2019 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Starting at 8:00am with the Rosary, Mass at 9:00 and Burial will follow to Alameda San Carlos Cemetery. A reception is provided after Burial in the Parish Hall at Nativity.

I will remember my Uncle Leonard fishing with a big smile on his face. Telling us all the biggest fish was on his line but got away. Lol Always laughing telling me come on dropos. That was his nickname for me. Lol You are the reason I know how to gut a fish, you are the reason I love Pecos , durango and red river. I will always remember the long camping trips in Pecos listening to def leopard. We had so much fun even though I cried as soon as it got dark and missed my mom. Lol I would spend my summers with at there house on El Pueblo. I miss that house. It was everyone's home lol we all grew up there. I remember as soon as it was time to go to bed I would cry and want to go with my mom. My aunt and uncle knew I was better off with them. I would cry myself to sleep I never once felt like I was bother to them. They never once yelled at me told me to be quiet or were annoyed that I was there. My uncle and auntie have the biggest heart. I love you both so much. I'm going to miss you uncle Leonard. Love dropos❤

Leonard I will always have a special place in my heart for you. I appreciate you always helping me and des with the boys all tho Damian wasn't your blood you treated him as he was, you have a heart of gold! I know you may be gone physically but you will remain in all of our hearts. I thank you for blessing me with the honor of becoming a part of the family and marrying Desiree. The day you left was the saddest of my life. I remember staying up and crying all night. You were gone so sudden I wish I had time with you before you passed away, I'd give you one last hug so tight and see your great big smile. I'd tell you that I don't think I could live without you, not even for awhile. I'm going to miss your laughter, smiles and times we shared. I wish you were here. I know you loved me
