Mary Waldman Obituary
Mary Glossberg Waldman, age 76, succumbed to pancreatic cancer on Friday, November 25, 2022. She died peacefully in the home she designed and built, that gave her great pleasure. Mary had a special gift for turning perfect strangers into friends and friends into extended family. Her passing leaves a void of goodness and love. Mary's work ranged from construction to education. Her favorite was puppeteering for Kids on the Block, a disability awareness program through which Mary reached more than 350, 000 children and adults.
Mary is survived by husband, "Dr. Deane" Waldman; daughter, Dana; son, Alex; and three spectacular grandchildren. She will be missed by friends and family in Albuquerque, Chicago, New York City, San Diego, Istanbul, and Greece.

Oh my goodness! I recently had been thinking about Mary Waldman- have not seen her in years- what a loss. I met Mary when she interviewed me for the Executive Director of Christina Kent Day Nursery. She was truly a "working" board president who authentically worked the mission of this Not for Profit center. She gave so much of her time and energy- she really cared about the children and families. She was always working to get the community and her friends to care about CKDN as much as she did. Tears....when I just today, found out about her passing. My sincere condolences to Deane, Dana, and Alex and family.

Dear friends, I am so sorry I didn't know Mary had passed, until last Friday. I'm ashamed to say I've been avoiding the notices in the paper, lately. Mary was such a vibrant and warm woman. Folks definitely knew when she was in the room! She'll be missed, but remembered, always. My love and hugs go out to you, all. Mary was one heck of a special lady!!

Deane, Alex, and Dana...what a terrible loss for you all and for the world. Mary was a one of a kind, unique individual who spoke her peace to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She made her presence known to all wherever she was. Deane, you were fortunate enough to have married her. And Alex and Dana, and grandchildren, were blessed to raised by her and Deane. My life was made better when I met you, Deane, and then met Mary. And her cookies were divine!! Hugs, love, and good memories to you all, Patrick and Eileen.
