Paul Sanchez Obituary

Sanchez, Paul Allen

Paul Allen Sanchez was born on October 27, 1960 and passed on July 27, 2015 at the age of 54. He was currently residing in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Paul was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Rose Carolina Sanchez. He is survived by his partner of 23 years, Ted H. Webber, his daughter Leticia Roybal and her husband Dr. William Roybal, and grandchildren Ana, Salomon, Tiareyana, and Kristyna. Also, he is survived by his father Emiliano Sanchez Jr. and brother Dr. Charles Sanchez with his wife Threase, twin sister Paulette Kaminski and her husband Thomas, and sister Judith Cole.

Paul had a great life and accomplished more in his short life than most people. Paul was a loving companion, great father, caring grandfather, loyal brother, best friend, and a great mentor. Paul traveled to many places and no matter where his journeys took him, he touched lives. Everyone loved Paul. During his stay in Ghana, Africa, he befriended so many and even extended his loving, caring heart to help several there. His legacy of what he did there will continue to help and touch others forever. Paul spent most of his life as a strong union activist through both NEA and MEA, and when asked what his official title was he always responded "Service Executive". God has taken an angel from us, like his life partner Ted said, "God takes the good ones first". Paul will be missed by so many. The peace we have is knowing that he is in a better place and he is now united with his mother. We all need to push forward and continue to spread all the magical love that Paul left us with. He will be forever missed and loved, and will be forever in our hearts. We all Love you Paul!!!

Paul's life will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 15, 2015, with a memorial service in the Cottonwood Pavilion at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort, Santa Anna Pueblo New Mexico. Paul championed education, personal growth and learning his whole life. Memorial donations may be made to the University of New Mexico International Student Emergency Fund in the Global Education Office, attention Mark Cramer (505) 277-4032. Peace.

My deepest Condolences to Paul's family. Daughter, grandchildren, partner. I had the opportunity of working with Paul through NEA-Santa Fe. We worked hard and had so much fun working together. I will always remember you. I will always remember when you would say "let's have Mabel go at administration". You always had a smile on your face. You were always helpful for our bargaining team however, you would always tell us the decisions were up to the negotiating team. We actually did good for our members. May your soul rest in peace. My dear friend I will miss you. Love, Mabel Specht, Santa fe

God put Paul in Seminole County Florida to be a leader, a role model, and a friend to many of the teachers and employees of Seminole County Public Schools. So many times we wished he was back with us imparting his knowledge and wisdom but we knew he was needed elsewhere. We were lucky to have him as long as we did. We will miss Paul. We loved him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends today and always.

You may be gone but never forgot. You will be missed so much. You could light up a room when you walked in. May you rest in peace now. From your friends at NEA cleaning staff. Cindy and Leo
