Ramon V. Rivera (Our Apa), age 80, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away at home with his family at his side, Wednesday, April 15, 2015.

Mr. Rivera is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, Esperanza; children, Roberto Rivera and wife, Amelia, Rene Rivera, Octavio Rivera and Cathy, Irma Cramins and husband, Garry, Morayma Sanchez and husband, Gilbert, Josefina Sandoval and husband, Carlos, Rosa Rivera, Eric Chavez and wife, Erika; sister, Rosa Montez; brother, Clemente Rivera; nephews and nieces he raised, Arcadio Rivera, Manuel Rivera, Amparo Arenivar, Nena Navarette, and Juan Manuel Rivera; twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; his best friend, Adan Garza; and the Gomez family; many other loving relatives and friends.

Mr. Rivera was preceded in death by his parents, Clemente and Susana Rivera; children, Ramon, and Ismael Rivera, and Leo T. and Maria Chavez.

Visitation will be Friday, April 17, 2015 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 301 Stover SW. Final visitation will be Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raymond Rivera, Eric Chavez, Paul Cramins, Jose Cramins, Gilbert Sanchez III, John Sanchez, Carlos Sandoval II, Alejandro Sandoval, Rene Rivera Jr., and Clovis Rivera.
