Following his military service, he worked diligently for more than 30 years at Tooele Army Depot, from which he retired with honor.
A man of deep faith, integrity, and gentle spirit, Richard was known for his tender heart and his desire to serve others. He was active in his church, faithfully serving in many roles over the years, including teaching Sunday School and leading Royal Rangers.
Throughout his life, Richard enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, camping, and coaching Little League baseball. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family and creating memories that will be cherished for generations.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lillian Rivera; children, Karen Werner, Richard M. Rivera (Diana), Dennis Rivera (Naomi), Robert Rivera (Debra), Jimmy Rivera (Linda), Deborah Aguayo (Felix), and Anna Murillo (Alfred).
