Ruth Smock Obituary
Ruth Smock, 90, beloved Mother, was called to her eternal resting place on January 20, 2017.
She entered this world on March 20, 1926, in Homestead, PA, born to Otto and Katherine Gaschler.
She is survived by her sister and best friend, Gretchen Gaschler; her sons Ron Smock, and wife Linda, and Allen Smock. Grandchildren include Sean Smock and partner Anna, Adam Smock and wife Kayla, Kyla Pellicani and husband Robbie, Kyle Smock and wife Jessica; and great-grandchild Kendyl Pellicani. Preceded in death by her father, Otto Gaschler; mother, Katherine Gaschler; husband, Lisle Smock; and son, Kenneth Smock.
Ruth served as a high school substitute teacher with APS. She loved the outdoors - especially fishing. Ruth was an enthusiastic casino patron.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH-University. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations to Heritage Home Health Care or American Patriot Services Corp.
